## Eating my own dogfood 🐶
I have a high school senior and was recently helping him put together a spreadsheet of prospective colleges. We wanted them in a spreadsheet so that we could sort and filter them, add our own notes, and share the sheet with others. After manually copy and pasting 1 college's details from Niche.com into a Google Sheet, I thought to myself:

## Saving User Inputs
Many of Ask Steve's [library tools](/docs/library) request feedback from the user via [User Variables](/docs/tools#user-variables). This enables you to provide some details at runtime, which makes the Tools much more flexible. For example the `Chart this for me` Tool asks you what kind of chart you want, and the `Do something` Tool lets you type in any command. 

If you are going to be using the Tool the same way every time, you can remove the User Variables from the Tool and just paste in the value that you want to use. Then you can skip the dialog that asks you for your input every time. 

To do this, look for the User Variables in your Tool's instructions/prompt. These will be any text surrounded by `{{Double curly braces}}`, and optionally followed by some selection options `(inside parens)`. Delete this text and type or paste in what you want the fixed data to be. Then resave your Tool and you're done!

1. Click the gear icon next to the page. Then click on `Advanced` in the left nav. Then paste your widget code in to the field labelled `PAGE HEADER CODE INJECTION`
1. Hit the `SAVE` button in the upper left corner.
1. That's it!

### Tell Your Users!
1. Tell your users to go to the page with the widget to install Ask Steve and your custom Tools & Buttons. They can do this in just a few clicks and a matter of seconds.

### Generate and Install Your Widget

1. On Wix the widget will appear in a placeholder that you create. Because of the way Wix works, you will also need to add your own link to install the Ask Steve extension.

1. On the page, add a Text element and inside it put "Install the Ask Steve Extension" and hyperlink the text to https://quickstart.asksteve.to/browsers
1. Then click `Add Element`, select `Embed Code` and then `Embed HTML`.
1. Paste your widget code into the `HTML Settings` window that pops up. Make sure `Code` is selected, then press `Update` and close the popup. 
1. Resize the embed until it's at least 500 x 260, and move it below the text element that you added earlier. 
1. Save your site and Publish it. 
1. That's it!

### Tell Your Users!
1. Tell your users to go to the page with the widget to install Ask Steve and your custom Tools & Buttons. They can do this in just a few clicks and a matter of seconds.
1. Your users now have the AI superpowers **that you created** available on **your site**, **for FREE**!
1. If you want, they can even use your AI Tools on other sites.
